Arulmigu Thiruvalleswarar Temple, popularly known as Thiruvalithayam Temple or Padi Sivan Temple, is a sacred Paadal Petra Sthalam praised by Saint Thirugnana Sambandar in the Tevaram hymns.

This ancient temple (over 1000–2000 years old) features a Swayambhu Shiva Lingam as Lord Tiruvalleswarar along with Goddess Jagathambikai. The vimana has a unique Gajabrushta (elephant-back) shape.
